I attended an event there. You would think an event which draws in strangers to your business would be an opportunity to show your best? I'll just say the service was not bad. IT SIMPLY DID NOT EXIST. SIXTEY OR SO PEOPLE STUCK IN THE SAME ROOM FOR OVER FIVE HOURS. TWO SERVERS. WHO.WERE NEVER EVER TRAINED AT THEIR JOBS. What do I know. I only eat out ten meals a week or more. Shoot yourself in the foot? The sad part is the food is good when it arrives within the hour.

A Groupon brought my husband and myself to this smokehouse - and we certainly weren't disappointed! I ordered the combo platter consisting of ribs and shredded BBQ with a side of collards, absolutely delicious! Husband had the combo platter of sausage & shredded BBQ with fries. Needless to say there was plenty to bring home. I requested their spicier BBQ sauce since I like BBQ a bit on the "hot side". Sauce was spicy without burning the tongue - perfect! Service was immediate and FRIENDLY. We will definitely be back. A wonderful drive after church!

Was there for the all you can eat crab legs on a Weds. Night with our family from the UK. The waitress left a lot to be desired, the vegetarian options are extremely limited(as one might reasonably expect at a Smoke house,I know) but the crab legs-snow, not king, were great! The atmosphere was pleasant and all in all it was a good night.

Not worth your time our money. Salad bar wasn't even fully filled for dinner (empty slots everywhere). Claim chowder soup was runny, like someone added milk to it instead of filling it with more soup. BBQ pork sandwich was my last attempt at enjoying a meal there and it was a bust too. Meat was extremely dry, had a lot of gristle, and the flavor was blah at best. I wanted to like this place as we enjoy eating out and supporting local businesses.

Great food and great atmosphere! The country theme is very cute! We had the pulled pork, collard greens, okra and sweet tea!!! Yum!!!! After dinner stay for the live band and some line dancing. A great night out!

Uncle Mike's helped cater our large event and did a TOP NOTCH job. They were very professional to work with, organized and responsive. The food was good quality and served with a smile! I recommend them for your next event.

This place was fair for the price and quality of food. There aren't many decent restaurants to choose from in Plant City, except Freds Market, and the Corner Store. How many times a week can you eat there without growing tired of it, plus they are $$$. And the person saying to eat at Panera instead? uh... That's a review all on it's own. I would choose Uncle Mikes any day for a meal over Panera Bread. Uncle Mikes gives you big portions, fair prices and a decent atmosphere. Their short rib sandwich is amazing! Not to mention the cuban sandwhich...delicious!!

My first visit! I work in Brandon thought I would give it a try based on a referral from one of my clients. I have to admit I am a big Smoky Bones fan and Uncle Mikes has them beat. I liked our server she was friendly and funny. We even got a visit from the owner at our table. Hats off to the staff and complements to the chef!

You kinda can guess how things will turn out when you walk in and theres no hostess to be found to seat you. Food was bland and for the quality its overpriced. Wouldn't recommend this place!

Attended a Ducks Unlimited Event 09/10/2015. It was the absolute worst experience at a facility ever. The facility had no A/C, the bathrooms were nasty, and the food was literally raw. Seriously. The chicken was raw. The portions were ridiculous, one teaspoon of potatoes, lettuce for salad, iced tea that tasted a week old. This is a place I will never visit again. Our entire table of 8 people are today experiencing digestive issues thanks to the food, lack of Air conditioning and just a generally greasy nasty environment. This even sealed the deal and we 8 will tell as many people as we can. Any associated photos of their food is staged and photo shopped. Nothing they presented was appealing. The Ducks Unlimited event was the worst I have attended in 4 states and 30 years. I will not associate with those people either.

Overall: Still working out some kinks, but we liked the simple approach and prices were reasonable!! Our visit to Mike's started off well...the atmosphere is simple and focused on a cowboy theme. They seem to have removed some tables after taking over from the last restaurant, which is a welcome change - it does not feel crowded or cramped. Also - inside and half of outside is all non-smoking!! Yay! Our server was great and very helpful. Food: We liked the corn nuggets and chilli. The pulled pork sandwich and collards greens were also very good. Surprisingly the ribs were disappointing. Very rough and dry with not much flavor. We sent them back and were told the kitchen says that is the way they were supposed to be. After speaking to the manager (when he stopped by our table to ask how everything turned out) it seems that is NOT how the ribs are supposed to be and he encouraged us to try them another time...after he has time to speak to the kitchen. Seems like the management/owners are truly interested in making things right. MY replacement pulled pork sandwich was great! Music: If you like country music and dancing, they still have it here. We did not stay, but line dancing lessons were starting at 7:30 on a Thursday and they have live bands on occasion...probably weekends. Give Uncle Mike's a try.

I drive past here every day and finally decided to try it. We were welcomed by "The Duke" John Wayne as we walked in. Service was fast, friendly and very accommodating. The food tastes as good as homemade and the prices are amazing. Definitely will be back.

If you want some good bbq check this place out. This place has a dance floor and plenty of room to spread out. Pool tables and darts upstairs and a small dining room downstairs. For you vegetarians out there they have a salad bar. My evening consisted of pulled pork nachos & shrimp skews. 1 to 5 rateings Staff= 5 (helpful and friendly thanks Gabby) Clean=5 (they are busting tables and sweeping as they go) Food=5 Bar=4 (Full bar but out of some things tonight no biggie) This is a no smoking establishment other than at the outdoor tables. Give this place a try it can't hurt you will fall in love.

Only one wait staff for lunch. Frozen and Costco bulk food. I've had the BBQ at their other location. It was good. Think I'll stick to the BBQ.

We went for their soup and salad bar. Salad bar had lots of pickled things, though 3 different lettuce. The soup bar was luke warm, and only one fair soup out of three. Shoot for the panera bead 3 miles away. Looks like you could get a good boot scoout and beer (domestic) here though

We were excited to have another BBQ option in Plant City...you can never have too many good 'que joints. The booths are not big-guy friendly but they have plenty of tables. We ordered the smoked wing appetizer and they were very good. For dinner I had the ribs and smoked sausage combo. They use a flavorful dry rub and clearly adhere to the "hot & fast" method for grilling the ribs instead of low and slow smoking, so the ribs are a little more on the tough and dry side and lack a strong smokey flavor which I personally prefer. Having said that, the ribs were meaty and tasty. I particularly like the fact that they come out "dry" (without sauce). BBQ meat should be able to stand on it's own without sauce. The smoked sausage was excellent. You only get one side dish and no bread which is unusual, but the collard greens were perfect! Half of the restaurant is a bar, and tonight they had live music, which made conversation difficult, but the music was good! Overall, a good experience. The prices are reasonable and the food was good. Not our favorite 'que in Plant City but good enough that we will be back.

First and last time here, they have no ribs at 1:20 in the afternoon. Forget the salad bar, if you want a awesome salad bar I suggest snellgroves. 1:45 Just left the worst meal I have ever had , a big mac meal would have been better.

Everyone bragged on this place, so I was excited to finally try it for Lunch. They didn't have ribs, so I ordered the short rib sandwich for 8.99 with fries. Barely could eat it, bread was soggy and fries were burnt. The meat had no flavor. My wife had chicken, pulled pork and greens for 9.50. The greens were canned, and the meat just tasted like smoke or liquid smoke. I was very disappointed. I showed the waitress my burnt fries, literally black and she said I'll let them know. No offer to replace them or anything. We barely ate, even McDonalds would have been better. Sad to say, but I won't be eating there again. I think it makes a nice bar but not a restaurant!

Well, maybe they have some kinks to work out. Was going to give it a try but....first off, the hostess kept advising that tables needed to be bussed. Yet, we waited 15 minutes after being told to watch several staff standing around chit chatting with each other. Then the hostess began pulling her way to short denim shorts out of her crotch and butt to only proceed to wrap silverware. As we sat on the bench, we counted at minimum of 4 or 5 tables that appeared to be available. This is not Hooters yet the wait staff seem to be trying to give that image with their outfits. One waitress seemed to be walking in circles adjusting her top as large tattoos over her breasts kept protuding. Still no table....sorry folks seems you need some direction or management or this is going to be another mismanaged dining establishment that will fail at this location.

As a family of four we tried the Kids Eat Free Tuesday night and had a great time. The staff was very greeting and helpful with all of our family needs ( including my 4 yr old spilling his drink all over). The hog wings were fantastic, iv never even heard of them anywhere else.....a must try at Uncle Mikes. We will definitely be going back maybe next time for the all you can eat crab legs.

The service from the staff was really slow we had to wait about 10 minutes to get waited on I guess they were waiting on all the service staff to get clocked in. The dinner entree was delicious and prepared just right the only problem was the ribs wasn't cooked right it was very tough to bite in to and nasty tasting. What was also bad the ribs wasn't ready at the current time we were told over the phone which was a bummer when we arrived we wanted the St. Luis Ribs. When you come in to the door you'll see the full service bar the dance floor with TV's and stairs leading to more seats and hang out area while enjoying music and your food. They have mens room and ladies room as well when you need to go after drinking a lot of drinks and food. The noise level is some what normal and at times loud cause of the music and the service staff talking to each other about whatever they are talking about at that current point of time. My final opinion about this place they are going through some changes and upgrades and this place looks some what outdated on the outside but the inside this place is huge with plenty of seating on the inside and outside as well.

We asked a group of locals for a lunch suggestion and Uncle Mike's was the unanimous response. When we arrived- the aroma of smoked meats greated us out in the parking lot! We arrived for a late-ish lunch or early dinner. The staff seemed nice and the food was good! I can see how it would be a jumping place at night too. If we ever find ourselves close by we would stop again!

I certainly hope that they were having an "off" night last night because after reading all the great reviews, I feel cheated. I had a pulled pork sandwich, beans and slaw. Bland, bland and blander. My biggest complaint was the hype on the slaw....what made it "orchard" slaw? All I got was rough chopped cabbage with some mayo in it. I do have to say that I love the ambiance of the place and I hope that at my next visit, I can write a better review.
